* Do you know what the MX record is?
Suggested article from our blog: What is an MX record?
MX record, M – mail, and X – exchange. It has information that shows where the mail server is located for a particular domain. Without it, there will be problems with the incoming emails.
To control and manage MX records, you need to access your control panel on the DNS hosting site. Every time you change your email hosting provider, you will need to edit your MX records. You must direct them to the new hosting provider, or you won’t be able to receive emails.
The MX record will include the hostname, and it will point to the email server. It will also have priority and TTL values. It won’t have an IP address, because the emails will be routed using the IP address from the A or AAAA record of the host.
